Creative Wave – 20th July
July 20, 2018
- The most recent episode of Desert Island Disks with Billie Jean King was absolutely fantastic with a conversation that spans from her tennis career, being an advocate for LGBT rights, a gender equality campaigner and being a muse for Elton John
- For your new Instagram account to follow this week, check out these amazing tiny paper sculptures from Lydia Kasumi Shirreff
- Protesters have hacked the Google search algorithm so that Donald Trump appears in the image results when you search for an ‘idiot’
- Agency Someone have ‘cheered up’ the brand identity for a price comparison website for something that we perhaps don’t think about until its too late… funerals. I think this is a really interesting project, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it too
- Finally, Hannah Gadsby’s Nanette is probably one of the most discussed stand up specials EVER and is truly worth a watch this weekend if you haven’t seen it yet, it manages to be funny, deeply moving and feels very very important
SONG OF THE WEEK
Mitski makes some of my favourite ‘sad girl’ music and I’m really excited for her new album, I would describe this song as ‘sad disco’ (a good thing in my book)
