BBD Perfect Storm hires Gibson as Strategy Partner
Oliver Gibson is returning to the UK, after eleven years working in New York, in the senior role of Strategy Partner at BBD Perfect Storm. He has worked at Grey New York, and most recently WPP’s integrated agency, Hudson Rouge, where he has been Global CSO for the past five years. This appointment follows BBD Perfect Storm winning expanded remits, and new clients, including: Moet Hennessey and Severn Trent Water. He reports to Tony Quinn, CSO at the brand and cultural transformation agency.
Gibson’s work has resulted in numerous awards, including a Cannes Black Lion for Creative Effectiveness and several Effies. While at Grey he led their Effectiveness programme, transforming their performance from 41st to 4th most awarded creative agency at Effies North America. Oli has an impressive new business record, having won TD Bank, Jockey, Chicos, Hasbro, FDA and Santander OpenBank, to name a few.
During his time at Hudson Rouge, Gibson led the strategy for Lincoln - Ford's luxury auto business; he repositioned the agency within the WPP portfolio, an attracted new clients, including: CitizenM hotels, Rolex watches and The Macallan Whisky.
Oliver is also a highly regarded industry voice, having been a speaker at Cannes, The Interactive Summit, and Brand Innovators Live Cast Series. He regularly teaches at Miami Ad School, in New York, San Francisco and Miami across numerous strategy bootcamps.
